Om Sri Balaji Electricals

Sixty-four years of trade in Ongole, four authorised dealerships, and no way to find any of it online. The task was translating a reputation built face-to-face into something a search engine could see.

Challenge

A business trading since 1962 with 660+ reviews and four authorised dealerships had no digital footprint — invisible to anyone searching for electricals or sanitaryware in Ongole.

Approach

Lead with the one thing competitors cannot copy: six decades of continuous trade. Then make the catalogue and the WhatsApp line do the selling.

Outcome

Live at omsribalajielectrical.in with six product divisions, authorised-brand pages, and WhatsApp pre-ordering with stock confirmation.

The brief

What the business needed.

Om Sri Balaji Electricals & Sanitaryware has traded from Gantapalem Road in Bandlamitta, Ongole since 1962. It is an authorised dealer for Jaquar bath fittings, Legrand switches and switchgear, Venus water heaters and fans, and ACE LED lighting, across six divisions spanning electrical, sanitaryware, bath fittings, lighting, appliances and plumbing hardware.

The customer base splits cleanly. Homeowners buy once every few years and care about genuine product and warranty. Electricians, plumbers and builders buy weekly and care about stock, trade pricing and GST billing. Both groups increasingly check online first — and a business with 660+ reviews across Google and Justdial was losing that check to competitors with worse products and better websites.

The heritage was the asset. "Every Brand. Under One Roof. For 64 Years" is not marketing language invented for a website; it is a description of what the shop is. The build had to carry that without looking dated.

What we built

Shipped scope.

Six product divisions

Electrical, sanitaryware, bath fittings, lighting, appliances and plumbing hardware — each mapped to what the shop actually stocks, from MCBs and distribution boards to CPVC and UPVC pipe.

Authorised brand pages

Jaquar, Legrand, Venus and ACE presented as formal dealerships, which is the difference between genuine product with warranty support and a grey-market gamble.

WhatsApp pre-ordering

Customers confirm stock and reserve materials before travelling — the single most useful feature for a trade buyer mid-job.

Trade & bulk pricing

A clear track for electricians, plumbers and builders, including GST billing for retail and bulk purchases.

Store details

Full address with the Parvathamma Temple landmark, plus Mon–Sat 9am–10pm and Sunday 9am–1:30pm hours — critical for a shop with unusually long trading hours.

Trust signals

660+ reviews across Google and Justdial surfaced on-site, alongside the 1962 founding date and warranty support.

FAQ

Questions this raises.

Why does a long-established local shop need a website?

Because the first check now happens on a phone. Om Sri Balaji has traded since 1962 with 660+ reviews, but a buyer searching for a Jaquar dealer in Ongole could not find any of that. The site makes an existing reputation discoverable.

How does WhatsApp ordering help a hardware retailer?

Trade buyers — electricians, plumbers, builders — lose time travelling to a shop that turns out to be out of stock. Confirming availability and reserving material over WhatsApp before setting off removes wasted trips.
